Pulp Alley at OMG April 2nd 2023

So, first time gaming at the club went well. Two rookies to the game and one old pro. I am not certain if the rookies knew what they were getting into, but they seemed to go with the flow and picked up the rules pretty quickly. I brought 8 leagues with me and allowed the players to choose who to play. We went with a simple scenario, Lost Keys  and after a brief explanation of the rules we had at it.

See the bottom of the post for the league sheets used.

It was a scatter start so the leagues deployed all over the board and at all heights!

Brother Water cannot stop the Germans from getting this plot point

Brother Fire is confronted by two enemies

Lela snipes from the edge of the balcony

Ilsa attempts to block Brothers Air & Earth from gaining this plot point

This plot point becomes the most hotly contested plot point of the game!

The scene without the awning...

Percy draws the fire of Lela away from the dog!

Two leagues rumble in the park over this minor plot point, while Stahl goes for the plot point on the roof..

The lay of the land at the start of turn 4.

The grand melee!

Brother Water is driven off

Brother Fire, having survived a 3 story fall, joins his brothers at the major plot point.

Dramatic showdown as two leagues stand off from each other...

End of turn 5!

The grand melee ends, only the rugged Heroes remain standing

Meanwhile, in the main market area, things are heating up.

Carson Smith seeing the opportunity leaps into the truck & puts pedal to the metal!

Brother Earth manages to dodge out of the path into the car behind him.

But Smith does not stop there...

...and slams into that car as well.

Leaving both vehicles smoking...!

Brother Air retires to the upper floor, but Ilsa follows him!

Stahl Mask confronts Smith as the game comes to an end.

So, the game was a quick affair, even with two rookies! (thank you Shawn & Morley for playing) The leagues were taken from the Pulp Alley Character book, with images inserted of my own figures.

Outstanding action award has to go to Morley for the truck driving and foe causing one of the monks off of a high story building! Simply excellent!

A few mistakes were made, but given that it was the first game of Pulp Alley in 3 years the number of errors were pretty small. I do hoe to get some more games in at OMG, or with OMG members off site. Certainly look forward to a new campaign!
