So I thought I would take a moment to snap some pics of my gaming area, specifically my ERB books. It is not a spectacular collection but they are all books that inspired me in my youth, and that I still enjoy to this day.
The covers by; Frazetta, Abbett, Krenkel and Whelan, certainly fueled my imagination!
The noble warrior stories, while perhaps sharing a lot of plot ideas, and or themes were still entertaining, and in my youth were truly inspirational.
Maybe they are best enjoyed by the young or young at heart, those willing to look beyond some of the 'older' ideas and enjoying them as pure tales of adventure. Not all of the books stand the test of time, and perhaps older readers who have never read them will not be able to get into them, but for me they continue to entertain me, taking me back to my youth.
