News flash! Man who claims to be a miniature gamer uploads a scenery post!

Against all odds, a new post purportedly by the unfocused gamer shows a work in progress.
Can it be possible that he has actually dared to go back into his gaming room, and work on something?

If so odds makers take a beating!

So  far I have primed them grey, and also given them a light layering of, green/grey, dead flesh, and bone white. All this just the base  coat. Then I snipped them off their sprues, attached the column halves to the walls and then stared at them...

Now the question is, what style shall I paint them, modern ruins, full colour as they might have looked, or a mix, sort of a fading glory?

  1. That is almost unbelievable! It's a good thing that I hadn't placed a bet...

The structural elements are looking good so far - had you dry-brushed the layers or used washes?

If only the campaign was still going on - these might have served as Slaan fortifications... ;p

    1. So far, just rattle can paints.
Dry brushing and inking to follow.
Archon studio has some nice ideas for to copy, just which one should I choose...

    2. Some of their colour schemes looked a bit garish, although they could always be toned down somewhat.

A mix could be the best compromise - still in use by the descendants of the original builders or occupied by more recent conquerors, or abandoned, yet still with lasting traces of ancient glory

    3. That is to say some centuries (or millenia) between newly-decorated and completely without pigment.
