Hotlead 2019 part two of three

Part two of my picture posting of Hotlead 2019.

Le Cateau August 26th 1914 the great retreat - Contemptible little armies rules

Save the guns! The Germans are attacking from behind, the guns have a fire mission to their front, can the few British troops hold off the German assault? Looked like a great game, nice scenery, and quick play rules.

15mm 7 years war  - Honours of War rules

Just a great looking battle, makes me want to do 15mm 7 years war!

Impetus rules (I believe)

Battle of Salem Church - Rally Round the Flag! rules

Really nice removable corn rows to facilitate the placement of troops.

Longstreet's attack July 2 1863 - Carnage and Glory II rules

A very nice table, love the woods in the last pictures, and all those fences!

The battle of Gainsborough 1643 - Might of Arms rules

Meant to come back to this table but got distracted, so all I have are these early set up pictures

Battle of the Nile - Sails of Glory rules

British in the foreground, and a newly met acquaintance commanding the last ship of the British line. Thankfully for him the game was set up in such a way that the action did not take long to start. In the end the prize ship he sought was sunk by another ship, depriving him of any bonus!

The relief of Fort Stanwix - home brewed rules

Never seen 6mm AWI, and not something I considered, but this was a wonderful display and certainly shifted my opinion of this scale for historical gaming! Really good detail on the figures which I hope you can see in the photos.

Look at the detail work on these!

Even my eyes could identify these troops great paint job!

The battle of Kadesh 1274 BC - Triumph rules
Not to be confused with Operation Kadesh a 1:300th scale jet fighter game scheduled at the same time. This was a 15mm game, love the walled city.

Star Trek Dominion War - Starfleet Metaverse rules

The planet attracted me to this game, but the integration of ships from any and all Sci-fi universes kept me watching. These battles went on all weekend, and you could expect to encounter ships from Babylon 5, Star Trek, Battlestar Galactica, or any thing else you can think of.

Part three, the final chapter to this photographic journey to be posted soon.
