Ok, so, it has been more than a week, well I have been busy, sorry...
Now for as busy at painting as I have been it would be nice if I had something more than a stiff neck to show for it, but I don't. Truth is I have been scattered on my projects working on many finishing nothing. Well that has to change, now or I risk being overwhelmed by all my almost finished figures!
Currently on the painting table, (or scattered around the gaming room) are the following items that I have worked on over the last couple of weeks:
- 5 Goblin spider riders (just need shields)
- Empire war wagon
- Empire steam tank
- Empire canon
- Empire hellblaster
- 3 Snotling pump wagons and crew (maybe 21 figures)
- 20 Chaos cultist
- 8 bases of snotlings (maybe 54 figures)
- 20 Lost legion pike men
- 20 Orc archers
- 20+ bases of livestock
- 6+ large palm trees
Beyond those that I have actually worked on recently, there are:
- 20-30 pulp Japanese Naval troops
- 20 or so zeppelin troops
- 12+ Russian tanks (to at least prime)
- Assorted robots
- and a new unit of Dwarf miners that are tempting me to get started on
So yes, I have a lot just teetering on the brink, I just need to get them to table top status.
Thankfully I am not dumb enough to order more figures given the back log that I have, oh wait, no I am just dumb enough to do that. Today I ordered 10 Dwarves, and 25 Orcs to fill in some gaps in some of my units to bring them all up to at least 20 figures each. The other day I did the same thing with my undead army, ordering some Ral Partha figures to shore up some under strength units. Oh, and I almost forgot, I got some WWII 20 mm figures from Colonel Bill's, yeah I did not have enough unpainted WWII figures already.
On the other hand, one of the RPG games has come to an end. While hopefully it is just the adventure that has ended and not the campaign, it does mean that I have had a little more free time to not finish any painting projects. As I type this rambling I cannot help but notice that I am surrounded by ready to be built models, mostly WWII, but also plenty of 28mm buildings, including a landing craft for the Japanese naval troops.
