I hope nobody bet against me...

So, just a quick update, the Spanish fleet is now mine too.

So this time last week I had a total of two, (2) Black Seas ships (they came with a WI issue). Now I have 55 ships spread out among three fleets (and two merchants) In a blink of an eye I suddenly confront:

  • 3 named 1st rates
  • 3 generic 1st rates
  • 9 named 3rd rates
  • 9 named Frigates
  • 20 generic brigs
  • 3 gunboat squadrons
  • 6 Schooners
  • 2 merchant ships

No rules yet, but they have been posted as of today. Also some scenery.

Madness, madness

Oh, and that means the US fleet is still there for someone to pick up, less expensive than the other fleets...hint hint.

  1. I'm not a betting man, but how far are you from being able to game Trafalgar, lol?

A US fleet would be at the top of a slippery slope towards a British fleet to oppose it, followed shortly by a Barbary fleet... I may take a look, though...

    1. It is the least expensive fleet, the basic box is only $109.00 (best price anywhere that I have looked internet/brick and mortar)
I do believe they are releasing some Barbary pirates in wave 2.
As for Trafalgar, I am getting there. If one used some ships as proxies...
Actual battle saw 32 British ships vs combined fleet of 38 ships. So at 55 ships I am still very short, too many small ships in my collection, but if Frigates were treated as larger ships, I am still very short at 24 ships. They are releasing some 2nd rate ships which I am sure I will get.

    2. It seems like a good deal, yet they would seem to have been used mostly in commerce raiding and in accidental ship-on-ship battles when they weren't blockaded by British ships of the line. The largest fleet might have been three frigates or so?
