Pulp Alley game at the OMG Library location

 

The four monster deployed 12" from the centre

So, the mission was for each league to track down, capture and return a monster to the windmill, where Dr Frankenstein was waiting. The leagues entered from the edges.

The leagues, the two left most did not participate 

The leagues were, the mad scientists, the monster hunters and the angry citizens. Two new players and one veteran fought it out to control a monster. The mad scientists and the angry villagers were both able to capture a monster and move it to the windmill, and thus were both able to go for the main plot point.


To capture a monster required the leagues to overcame horror tests in addition to the usual peril and challenge. Once captured the monster had to be moved to the windmill. This was accomplished by characters rolling action skill dice. Each success equaled 2" of movement. 


Characters with torches added 'X' to the number of successes. There were other bonuses too, for instance if the Scientists used there cunning they could also add 'X' to their results.

The major plot point peril was an area peril. More than one league, but no more than one figure per league could be in the room. If someone failed the peril then everyone in the room would suffer the negative effects. Whoever got past the peril would be moved into the second story room were the doctor was waiting. 

The game was a six turn game, that ended in a draw.  However we played out one last turn to see if anyone could be the clear winner and once the dust had settled a rookie won the game with the angry villagers.
