What a Cowboy gaming weekend part 2

The old mission was the scene of our second game. These are Crescent Root buildings that I bought some time ago. We used the rescue scenario for this game, the defenders had a hostage hidden in the small building near the church the attackers/rescuers game in from the right side.

One of the attackers has made it into the building and has the hostage in hand

The battle to free the hostage was very intense with much exchange of gunfire. while the attackers made it into the building the defenders took position at the window looking into the building and shot any and all who dared enter.

There was also a running gun fight on the elevated walkway, with Doc managing to eliminate two of the defenders. In the end, the defenders were able to hold on to their captive.

Our third game took place on Sunday and featured a mountain! The scenario saw the attackers trying to burn out the defenders.

The attackers had quite the hard slog of it as they encountered a lot of rough terrain that slowed down their flanking manoeuvre.

The defenders took up advanced positions inside the smaller of the two buildings (the two outside the building are local civilians).

The remainder of the attackers stayed near the attackers target building.

The defenders also hid behind some rough terrain. Charley, on the right, was not fairing so well as he was the recipient of many shots!

The attackers took advantage of every bit of cover that they could, but it slowed them down considerably.

The attackers sniper took the long way around to outflank the defenders.

The sniper (upper centre) tried in vain to find a target at the smaller house.

At one point a trio of Apaches arrived and proceeded to chase after one of the attackers.

The attackers finally begin to close in on the objective.

A bold charge by one of the attackers ended in a grizzly hail of bullets!

Even as Doc was sneaking up on Tuco the game came to and end. The attackers failed in their mission. All too often it seems to be a real challenge for the attackers to win, almost all our game have seen the defenders win.
