HotLead acquisitions

So, another Hotlead has come and gone and I have survived another mad crush at the bring and buy! So far I have had a great deal of success at the event, this year was no exception, except that I did not find as many great items as I have in the past.

The haul!

The Fluyt

The Dhow

As is typical for me there is quite the range of items here. The two big items are the ships. These are 3D prints from Beavers and Broadswords from the Hamilton region. The smaller ship comes in two pieces while the other one is in 3 parts. They are very detailed and very light. They come complete with weapons and extra parts for the masts. (rigging and mast not supplied) I also picked up the building, tents, portal and the dog like creatures from the same company.

Most of the rest of the stuff came from the bring and buy. (5 robots and the Russian tanks came from other dealers) Most of the stuff that I got was just filling in some gaps and/or adding to the existing unpainted pile. The big find were the two Flash Gordon rocket ships.

Although they are 1/72 scale I feel they will fit in well with my 28mm pulp figures and with some of my other pulpy  space ships. They were produced in the 1980's but are complete and undamaged. As others have said they may well have been sitting in a basement gathering dust for quite some time.

I also found some painted figures! The painted chariot was unexpected as it was in a box with two other unpainted chariots. The Necron scarabs will work for Sci-Fi pulp and the Roman artillery will go to my Infamy infamy army.

Finally I also picked up these two heavily discounted packs of drop ships. Always wanted some, even back in the old days, so now I have 8 drop ships that are highly detailed and did not cost all that much.
